Toby's Terriers Project Lands Award

Raleys Solicitors has won a prestigious award for it's backing of the Community Programmes Toby's Terrier's project.
The Barnsley firm was rewarded for 'Business Contribution to Sport' at the South Yorkshire Sports Awards on Wednesday 14th November at the English Institute of Sport. The evening was a celebration of athletes, coaches and volunteers as well as showcasing some of the fantastic work happening behind the scenes to help people get in volved in sport at many different levels.
It follows the firm's £60,000 investment in the sporting initiative which aims to engage local youngsters of all abilities in qualified football coaching. The 3 year programme is in it's 2nd year and will enable 4000 Barnsley children to take part in high quality curriculum football activities, but also provide out of school opportunities for children to take part in competitive, recreational and social activities through structures pathways. With health and physical exercise high on the Government agenda, this project is needed and is in addition to the current level of provision delivered by the Community Programme.

Local nominees for the South Yorkshire Sports Awards will now go on to contest the Barnsley Sports Awards. The winners will be announced at the Metrodome on the 5th December, with Raleys again shortlisted for the 'Business Contribution to Sport' category.
